We are opposed to this development because:
🚗 Increased Traffic Congestion – The area is already heavily affected by traffic from the Tyne Tunnel and nearby housing developments. Another petrol station will only make this worse, creating safety risks for pedestrians and road users.
🛑 Rising Anti-Social Behaviour & Crime – Northumbria Police have warned that petrol stations often attract crime. A 24-hour business in this location will lead to more disturbances, making our neighbourhood less safe.
🏡 Ignoring Residents’ Concerns – This will mean 4 petrol stations within a mile of each other, our community doesn’t need another one. Our voices must be heard.
The names submitted below will be shared with North Tyneside Council as part of this petition.
