The Chancellor has announced she will increase bus fares from £2 to £3 at the end of the year, costing the average passenger £500 annually.

Our bus services are a vital lifeline for people across North Tyneside. With increased fares, many people will simply not be able to get around as easily. We are calling on North East Mayor Kim McGuinness to intervene and keep bus fares at £2 in the North East.
